Nokia launched a new video featuring the Lumia 1020's camera capabilities.
The video, titled "NY 41x41," was shot by American filmmaker Paul Trillo, who filmed with the Lumia 1020 across 41 blocks of one Manhattan street.

In an interview with Nokia Conversations, Trillo explained the concept of the video came from the opening credits in the movie "Limitless."
"We wanted an idea, which utilized the ability to zoom in on the Lumia 1020's 41 mega pixel photos," added Trillo. "The video needed to feel as if you could travel within a single image and continue forever."
The filmmaker stated the lengthy streets and buildings would be interesting to capture with the Lumia 1020's zoom camera.

He noted that making a film similar to "NY 41x41" with a camera phone "seemed unfathomable" a few years ago and credited the device's manual controls.
Trillo stated, "The 1020 camera shoots photos at 41 megapixels, which is close to 8k in resolution in video terms. HD video is less than 2k in resolution, so there is a ton of flexibility to do some impossible zooming effects. It's really the case of technology allowing for new techniques and creativity."
The Lumia 1020 is available with exclusive carrier AT&T for $199.99. The Lumia 1020 launched on July 26 initially for $299.99.
The Lumia 1020's features include a 4.5-inch screen with 1,280x768 pixels covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The new Windows Phone 8 device has 32GB of internal storage for 2GB of RAM. The device includes a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels, and also packs a 2,000mAh battery.
