The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens will face off in a preseason match between two major rivals Sunday.

The Boston Bruins are looking to repeat their success from 2012-13 when they came within one minute of forcing game seven in the Stanley Cup finals. However, the team allowed two goals in less than 30 seconds and wound up watching the Chicago Blackhawks skate the Stanley Cup around TD Garden.

The team has not made any cuts throughout its training camp and coach Claude Julien has already stated that those decisions will not be made until all of the players have seen some game action.

"There are guys that are great in practice, you get them in a game and you don't see them. And you've got guys in practice...and then you see them in a game and it's like 'Wow, what a different player,'" said Julien, according to the Bruins official website. "And that's why you have to be careful when you analyze players. I think the game is going to really tell the tale here and I think it's important that we watch those closely this year because there's going to be some real big decisions to make down the road."

The Canadiens are coming off a solid season in which they picked up the Northeast division crown. However, the team wound up falling to the Ottawa Senators in a quick five game series that they never seemed to settle into. The team played a preseason match on Sunday against the Buffalo Sabres.
