The Big Show opened up the show, apologizing to Triple H for his behavior on Monday Night Raw. Triple H came out to the ring and let Big Show know he was suspended without pay before The Shield came down and decimated the Big Show, who took the Triple Power-Bomb from The Shield.

Alicia Fox, Layla, and Aksana defeated Naomi, Natalya and Brie Bella. AJ Lee, who was doing commentary, interfered in the match as Natalya cinched the Sharpshooter on her opponent.

R-Truth and Fandango come out to the ring for a dance contest. The Miz came out, telling R-Truth and Fandango they could not have a dance contest without The Miz. The Great Khali came out to join the contest and everyone started dancing except for Fandango, who got knocked out the ring for his troubles.

Backstage, Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero announced that Ricardo Rodriguez would not be allowed at ringside at Night of Champions but would be scheduled to wrestle Alberto Del Rio later in the night.

Santino Marella defeated Damien Sandow with The Cobra.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Ricardo Rodriguez with a top rope reverse suplex. After the match, Del Rio cinched the Cross Armbreaker before Rob Van Dam came down for the ring for the save, hitting the Five-Star Frog-Splash on Del Rio.

Dean Ambrose fought Dolph Ziggler to a no-contest after The Shield interfered in the match and The Uso Brothers made the save for Ziggler. Guerrero came out and declared a three-man tag-match between The Shield against Ziggler and the The Usos.

The Shield defeated the Usos and Ziggler after Seth Rollins of The Shield put his knees up to prevent one of the Uso Brothers to completing a splash off the top rope.

Edge comes out to host "The Cutting Edge" segment. Edge tells the crowd he hopes Christian comes back soon to take care of The Shield. Both WWE Champion Randy Orton and challenger Daniel Bryan come out to the show. Orton says Edge is jealous of the 10-time heavyweight champion while Edge reminds him he was a 11-time champion. Bryan and Orton brawl with the champion ending up in a Yes! Lock before leaving the ring and leading the crowd with a "YES" chant to end the show.
