Call of Duty: Ghosts is one of the most anticipated games coming to both current-gen consoles as well as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when they are launched in November. Developer Activision and developer of the game Infinity Ward have now released a new trailer for the game that focuses on its single player campaign, showing off the various locations and missions players will experience.

The trailer begins in space, of all places, as a space station is seen under attack. Characters bounce around in zero gravity, and astronauts rise from the wreckage with weapons drawn as they take over some sort of an orbiting space cannon. This cannon, called Odin, is turned against the United States, and thus the plot of the game begins. This attack apparently caused a full scale invasion of the United States from enemies from South America. This makes sense, considering that many of the locations shown in previous trailers for the game were in South America.

From there we see the squad and the playable character are a part of the action, including the most famous member of the squad, Riley the dog. However, we see the rest of the team in several different situations, such as rappelling off of a skyscraper, sprinting around a moving train and even maneuvering around a aircraft carrier under attack. Even Riley the dog gets an epic moment as he dangles from a out-of-control helicopter. While these moments are quite spectacular looking (especially the aircraft carrier attack), several quieter moments puncuate the trailer. Players can sneak up and take out foes in several different ways. Characters are seen sliding up to enemies and gutting them with a knife, as well as taking them out with sniper fire and silenced gunshots from a repelling position.

The game will also explore the relationship between the main character and his father, who looks to also have been part of the military. The character's father is seen interacting with his son, and he may have a larger role to play in the series.

Overall, this trailer shows one of the aspects of the game that has been neglected recently in favor of exploring Call of Duty: Ghosts' multiplayer. While the initial demos and trailers showed off many different areas of the campaign, this proper trailer for the game's story gives users a good idea of what to expect from the game. Look out for the game to be released in November.
