The next Apple Inc. smartphone might make its debut at 1 p.m. Tuesday and expectations are running high.

As Latinos Post has been monitoring, Apple will likely announce the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 at 1 p.m. EST.

According to SlashGear, marketing materials have allegedly leaked for the iPhone 5S and it appears the next Apple smartphone will come equipped with the A7 processor chip, a rear-facing camera with 1080p video, and a battery that can last up to 250 hours on standby.

"Perhaps the biggest new feature on the iPhone 5S could be a fingerprint sensor, which many claim will lurk right under the Home button," noted CNET. "What will a fingerprint sensor be used for? Increased security and maybe a way to encode and bypass entering passwords, but what else? For the everyday person, a fingerprint sensor would mainly make sense for simplified security and possibility some method of secure payment, although no rumors seem to discuss the latter."

According to CNN Tech's Doug Gross, "There are reports the phone could be able to access LTE Advanced, a network that would make it faster than phones with 4G connections. That network is not yet available in many areas of the U.S., however."

The Verge's Jacob Kastrenakes, meanwhile, reported the iPhone 5S will likely resemble the iPhone 5 in terms of cosmetics. While also echoing the fingerprint sensor, he added the megapixels for the rear-facing camera could increase to 12 or 13.

As Latinos Post reported, a gold variant of the iPhone 5S may also be in the works.

Courtesy of Sonny Dickson, 15 photos of the alleged iPhone 5S, or iPhone 6, were posted showing the rear of the device.

"Direct from our source in Apple's Asian supply chain, we've managed to get our hands on a rear housing for the iPhone 5S, in Champagne!" wrote Dickson.

AllThingsD has reported that the golden iPhone has been confirmed along with the traditional color options of black and white.

"As others have noted, gold tones are among the easiest colors to anodize, so technologically it's an easy option to offer," reported John Paczkowski of AllThingsD. "It adds a bit of flash to an otherwise staid color palette that hasn't changed in a number of years. It's an obvious differentiator between the current iPhone 5 and whatever its successor ends up being called."

It is unknown as well if Apple will provide a live stream for the event. Latinos Post noted how Apple has yet to put a holding page up on their Apple Events page or temporarily closed their website for potential new items.
