Mexican model and TV presenter, Rebecca de Alba, explained during an interview with TV show "Hoy" why she bashed singer Ricky Martin on Twitter, saying he is not a proper person or a gentleman.

The 48-year-old said that when she was going through a hard time, Martin turned his back on her. "Something very personal happened recently between us and in difficult times of his life he always counted on me and I supported him and in a very difficult and critical time in my life a few months ago he did not support me," de Alba told "Hoy," according to Latin Gossip.

"That hurts and it disappoints and, well, you learn that it's not always reciprocal and so I went through a sensitive situation, I won't say what, something serious in which I needed his help and he didn't give it to me so really that fractures the friendship that we had conserved because I am there for my friends," explained the Mexican TV host.

According to People en Español, de Alba also pointed out she has dated other celebrities besides the Puerto Rican singer, including singer Leonardo de Lozanne and actor José María Yazpik, among others. "The media always says I'm single, but then they don't even know I'm dating because my boyfriends are not celebrities. Everyone believes that I've had only two famous boyfriends since I was fifteen, until I was 40-something. I mean, how is it possible? I've had more relationships, but I'm not a person who is ventilating and telling details," said de Alba.

De Alba also said she continues to receive offers from adult magazines to pose naked. "I would never say never, but it's not something that concerns me, that catches my attention right now...The celebrities in other countries do naked for charity or to make incredible professional photo's books, something very artistic. But not here, here posing naked is seen as a scandal, and I haven't had my scandal yet."

Last month, de Alba took to Twitter to say her relationship with Ricky Martin wasn't good and to clarify rumors that suggested she might interview him, Diario Cambio reported.

"No le hare entrevista a @ricky_martin. Soy profesional, pero hace tiempo que él no se ha portado a la altura como persona ni como caballero" (I will not do an interview with @Ricky_Martin. I'm a professional but for a long time he hasn't behaved as an educated man or as a gentleman), tweeted de Alba.
