A second mobile carrier will reportedly stop selling two variants of the iPhone 5.

According to MacRumors, the German website Flo's Weblog claimed Vodafone Germany plans to discontinue the 32GB and 64GB internal storage models of the iPhone 5.

In addition, the 16GB model of the iPhone 4S will not be sold through the carrier in Germany.

The report comes a day after Latinos Post reported on a leaked image, via MobileSyrup, allegedly from the Canadian carrier Telus showing the 32GB and 64GB models will be discontinued on Sept. 28.

If Telus were indeed dropping the 32GB and 64GB models of the iPhone 5, it would corroborate earlier reports that the iPhone 5's production would cease this year.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in August that the iPhone 5 would reach end-of-life status with the introduction of the long-rumored new low-cost iPhone, which some have named the "iPhone 5C."

As Latinos Post reported, Apple has confirmed an event for Sept. 10. The event was confirmed on Sept. 3 with the tagline "This should brighten everyone's day." It is unknown if the event will feature the iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, or iPhone 6 smartphones.

The reports, however, come as the prices of the fifth-generation smartphone were reduced at Best Buy and Walmart.

As Latinos Post reported, Walmart adjusted the iPhone 5's price to $98. The offer, however, is only available in Walmart stores and not online.

Meanwhile, Best Buy reduced the iPhone 5's price by $50. The new Best Buy price, for example, brought the 16GB iPhone 5's price to $149.99. Unlike Walmart, the Best Buy offer is available online.

Customers seeking to take advantage of either Best Buy or Walmart offers must be eligible to upgrade or sign a two-year contract with AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon Wireless. Although T-Mobile now carries the iPhone 5, the offers doesn't include the fourth largest U.S. carrier in the deal.

The iPhone 5 features a screen size of 4-inches with 1,136x640 pixels at 326 pixels per inch. The internal storage models come with 1GB of RAM but no microSD card slot. The wireless connectivity for the latest Apple smartphone includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.0 and USB version 2.0. The camera specifications include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels and a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels. The smartphone, which launched in September 2012, has 1,440mAh to provide up to 225 hours on standby and eight for talk time when under a 3G network.
