Four Latina artists who survived breast cancer are on the cover of People en Español's October issue, sporting smiles while wearing pink, the emblematic color of the campaign against breast cancer.

According to the magazine, Daniela Romo, Adamari López, Lorena Rojas and Alejandra Guzmán posed to raise awareness of the terrible disease. The four celebrities had a photo shoot in Miami where they each talked about their experience fighting breast cancer.

Romo, who posed with an elegant pink suit and is characterized by having one of the longest hair in Latino show business, told People, "In the second to last chemo I cut off all my hair, I was leaving hair all over my house's floor. I remember how the last hair fell from my brow, I saw how I was being reborn. (That's why) I embraced the disease with love."

On the other hand, López, who posed with a tight but elegant dress, said, "Your heart tightens. The anguish never ends. But that won't rule my life any longer. That's over and it's not something I want to go through again." The article explains that the actress is still afraid when, every six months, she has to have a routine check-up to make sure she's still cancer-free.

López was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2005. She began her fight against cancer by submitting herself to the difficult chemotherapy process, to a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction.

Mexican singer Guzmán posed with a short and fun dress, and told People in tears that "It's hard to see your femininity mutilated. It was like 'oh, s**t!' My task was to (learn to) love myself as I am now." She also said that to keep her will to fight and beat cancer she had the support and love of her brother and her daughter, Frida.

Likewise, lovely actress Lorena Rojas, who poses with a long dress, told the magazine that she currently lives in anguish because even though she beat breast cancer in 2008, last August 2012 she was diagnosed with cancer again, metastasizing in her hip's bones and inside of her vertebrae.

Lorena Rojas told People that "There are good days and not so good days, but I feel very good. I always try to think positively". The four artists were happy to pose for the magazine, sharing their life experiences and showing themselves as breast cancer survivors.
