Zombies are no longer fantasy. They're becoming reality, seeping into our everyday lives and eating our brains from the inside out. The image of the stumbling corpses terrifies us at night yet entices us during the day. Their horror is entrancing. It can rope you in and never let go. Once you get the zombie fever, there's no turning back.

Fans of the hit series "The Walking Dead" are all too familiar with the sensation. They can be obsessive, waiting day in and day out for the shows return, wasting their final summer evenings glued to their desk, browsing images from the upcoming season, keeping up to date with any inkling of what it entails, and of course recapping their favorite episodes again and again.

Recent rumors have hinted at a new decked out prison as it expands to accommodate new arrivals from Woodbury, but no one imagined a potentially breach could be in the cards, until now.

AMC has finally released the official key art for "The Walking Dead" Season 4, and a ghostly image of Rick, sauntering though a fallen fence in front of the prison hints at a break-in or a break-out. Either way, fans' taste buds are tingling, yearning for more. Unfortunately no official news of the breach has leaked, but luckily the new season is right around the corner.

It's almost time for the zombie apocalypse to come home. The nightmares will return, the images of rotten flesh and marching corpses will reenter our daily lives. The zombie craze is more hyped than ever, and what better way to celebrate the monsters in all their beautiful glory than with their own, highly acclaimed and adored television series?

"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC October 13.
