Switzerland will look to take a stranglehold on Group E when it takes on Iceland in Friday's World Cup Qualifiers.

Group E is easily the most competitive group of the competition. While most groups have one or two teams in contention for second place, every single nation in this team is still in contention for a spot. Switzerland leads the pack with 14 points, but second place Albania has 10, and third place Iceland has nine. In fourth place is Norway with eight points, and in fifth is Slovenia with six. Last place Cyprus has four points.

The top team automatically qualifies for the World Cup Finals next summer, but second place must endure another two-legged playoff.

Switzerland is the only team in the group without a loss thus far. The team defeated Slovenia 2-0 in its opener and beat Albania by the same score in its second game. In its third game, the team drew 1-1 against Norway. Switzerland pulled off a 2-0 win over Iceland in its fourth match and then drew 0-0 against Cyprus. In its most recent game, Switzerland beat Cyprus 1-0.

Meanwhile, Iceland beat Norway 2-0 in its first game before taking down Albania 2-1 in its second match. In the third game of qualifiers Iceland lost 2-0 against Switzerland. The team then traded wins with Slovenia in its most recent affair.

Prediction: Switzerland should win this game 1-0.
