Keep your eyes on the drumometer and be amazed at how many beats this guy was able to do in a matter of 60 seconds!

This year's Extreme Sport Drumming Event in Nashville, Tennessee hailed Canadian Tom Grosset the fastest drummer in the world. Making a record-breaking 1,208 beats in 60 seconds, Grosset was making more than 20 beats per second. The previous record holder of the fastest drummer in the world was Dream Theater's Mike Mangini from Boston.

According to the official website of Extreme Sport Drumming (ESD), the world's fastest drummer was determined through a device called a drumometer. A drumometer is a teaching tool which detects the speed of the drummer's hands and feet.

The World's Fastest Drummer competition also had other categories like Battle of the Hands, won by Dave Stroup with 989 singles in 60 seconds and Battle of the Feet, won by Spencer Dalton with 846 singles.
