"New Girl" fans are in for a crazy start to the third season. The hit Fox comedy will premiere with Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) picking up where season two ended and embarking on a road trip to Mexico.

Jake Johnson spoke to TVLine about the upcoming season premiere. "Nick and Jess find themselves driving straight to Mexico," Johnson said. Once they are south of the border, things get weird."We get Tazed. I end up in a pool. Some guy watches me go to the bathroom, because he likes the bad smells. Jess goes back and gets the gang to save Nick. There are flashbacks. It's a lot. It's a big crazy start."

Although Nick and Jess have finally gotten together, there will be some intimate issues that cause a few bumps in the road. Jess will go to Schmidt (Max Greenfield) for advice on how to please Nick in the bedroom, but Schmidt's advice turns out to be terrible. That specific episode will also feature a flashback to Nick during his college days.

The new season will also see the "New Girl" living up to her namesake. Jess will be the new girl at her new teaching job. She will have a hard time fitting in with the "cool" teacher crowd, and will be given a hard time by two "mean girl" types who dislike Jess' goody-goody personality.

Some familiar characters will also be returning next season. Damon Wayans Jr. will come back to the series to reprise his role as Coach, a character he played in the show's pilot. At the time, Wayans could not appear on the rest of the season because of his commitment to "Happy Endings." Wayans was replaced by Lamorne Morris, who plays Winston. Now that "Happy Endings" has sadly been canceled, the hilarious actor is coming back to break out his Coach character for a season three story arc.

TVLine reports that Brenda Song will also make a brief comeback in the third season. Although Song will be busy appearing on the new comedy "Dads," she will make a quick return to the show.

Lamorne Morris confirmed to TVLine that Song will be reappearing.

"She will come back, I think, for one episode," Morris said. As for why she will return, Morris said, "It's so I can dump her! No, the writers would never let that happen." The actor teased, "They'll make ME get dumped somehow."

Season three of "New Girl" premieres on Fox on Tuesday, September 17.
