The Windows Phone 8 Amber Update has arrived in India.
Five different Nokia Lumia smartphones have been confirmed to receive the Windows Phone 8 Amber Update: Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 720, Lumia 820 and the Lumia 920.

Although the rollout of the latest Windows Phone update will vary by mobile carrier, Nokia has issued a status update on Amber.
The Lumia 520's Windows Phone 8 Amber Update has not yet been released and has been labeled as "Waiting for approval" by Nokia.
According to Nokia, the term "waiting for approval" is defined as undergoing a final test with either the specific country or mobile carrier before approval.
The Lumia 720, whose latest software version was "1030.6409.1311.0002," is also waiting for approval.
The Lumia 620's status is "Coming soon" for users with the latest version known as "1030.6407.1308.0002."
The definition for "coming soon" means the update has been approved but is in "final pre-release checks."
Finally, the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 smartphones' Windows Phone 8 Amber Update has started its distribution as Nokia has labeled it as "Available."
As Latinos Post reported, the Windows Phone 8 Nokia Lumia Amber Update improves the smartphone's camera, particularly the auto focus, noise filter, and low-light photo-taking capabilities, to name a few.
Nokia noted, "To make sure you don't miss out on the notification, check on your phone that under Settings > Phone Update > 'Tell me when updates are available for my phone' is enabled."
According to Nokia Conversations, the Windows Phone 8 Amber Update was not released in one rollout in order to ensure "quality standards."
"To ensure the software update meets our quality standards, we're running multiple tests with various country variants and operators," wrote Nokia Conversations' Ian Delaney. "We make the updates available to you as soon as we complete testing. With Lumia Amber we expect to have the update arriving in all Lumia Windows Phone 8 phones by the end of September. Be patient - it's coming!"
