The first clip of Daniel Radcliffe's new movie "Kill Your Darlings" has premiered online.

The clip shows the first encounter between Radcliffe's character Allen Ginsberg and Dane Dehaan's character Lucien Carr in a library where Dehaan causes havoc. The film recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival in the Venice Days sidebar where the Radcliffe was met with excitement by his fans. During the film's press conference, the Harry Potter star said: "I'm incredibly grateful for the swirl of support behind me. My fans seem excited by the unconventional path I am taking. I love poetry and it was fantastic to get the part and have the opportunity to dive into Ginsberg's life. The diaries he made when he was young gave me an amazing insight into his character."

Prior to the Venice Film Festival, the movie premiered at the Sundance Film festival where it caused a stir because of Radcliffe's involvement in several gay sex scenes in the film. Nonetheless, the movie obtained great reviews. Justin Chang of Variety wrote: "A mysterious Beat Generation footnote is fleshed out with skilled performances, darkly poetic visuals and a vivid rendering of 1940s academia in 'Kill Your Darlings.'"

Meanwhile, David Rooney of the Hollywood Reporter stated, "And the Beat goes on, this time in a syncopated study that sheds light in particular on the young Allen Ginsberg."

"Kill Your Darlings" also stars Michael C. Hall, Elizabeth Olsen, Ben Foster, David Cross and Kyra Sedgwick. The film was directed by John Krokidas and will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on Oct. 18.
