The second generation Google Nexus 7, or Nexus 7 2, has launched in Australia, the U.K., France, Germany, and Japan on the Google Play Store. People all over the world who want the Wi-Fi-only version of the new Google Nexus 7 2 are now able to get their hands on the device. Here are the price details.

In Japan, the Google Nexus 7 2 is listed on the Google Play Store for 27,800 yen and 33,800 yen, depending on if you get the 16GB or 32GB model.

In France, Germany and Spain, the respective Google Nexus 7 2 devices are priced at €229 and €269.

In the U.K., the Google Nexus 7 2 just went on sale for £199 for the 16GB model and £239 for the 32GB model on the Google Play Store. In the U.K., other retailers like Currys PC World, Amazon.co.uk, Tesco, Argos, and John Lewis should be selling the Google Nexus 7 2 as well, according to Android Central.

Don't forget our friends on the other side of the world though. In Australia, the Google Nexus 7 2 has launched on the Google Play Store, as well as retail stores like JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, and others. For AU$299, you'll get the 16GB model and for AU$339 the 32GB model could be in your hands very soon.

The new Google Nexus 7 2 comes with a 7-inch display sporting 1920 x 1200p resolution, running on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, clocked at 1.5GHz and assisted by 2GB of RAM. Also in that system on a chip is the 400MHz Adreno 320 GPU, delivering superb graphics. The device has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and a 1.2-megapixel front-facer with fixed focus.

It comes with Android 4.3 out of the box, which should be fixed up to avoid the GPS and multitouch issues that we American guinea pigs found and complained about in the first month after it launched. There's still no official word on when the LTE version of the Nexus 7 2 will be launched - though there are rumors that it will release sometime in September - so hold your horses if you want to carry the Google Nexus 7 2 around anywhere and get Internet.
