The carrier has now reduced the price to $49.99 when signing the two-year contract.

The Lumia 920's price when signing a one-year contract will be $299.99, while the month-to-month price is $439.99.

AT&T is also introducing the Lumia 920 to their new "AT&T Next" option.

As AT&T explained, "AT&T Next is a new way to get a new device every year with an installment plan you can pay over a period of 20 months. Monthly installment payments will vary in price depending on the device you choose."

Benefits of AT&T Next plan include no activation or upgrade fees.

If a consumer selects the AT&T Next option for the Lumia 920, the smartphone's price will be $18 per month for the next 20 months.

The overall price reduction comes as Amazon significantly cuts the Windows Phone 8's price to $0.01 for new customers signing a two-year contract.

The Lumia 920 smartphone has a screen size of 4.5-inches, 32GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels with LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0, an NFC chip and a 2,000 mAh battery capacity.
