Here we are again. We find ourselves here every year. It's the magical cusp between the grueling summer and the impending fall, which rests right at the onset of television's more brutal onslaught. The return of the biggest series sets the tone of the year ahead. Come winter, friends and families will snuggle close as they cozy up for their favorite weekly bonding time, which somewhat tragically involves staring at a TV screen for hours at a time. Preference in shows varies from family to family, but there are several that win over the majority of households.

For fans for the hit series "Bones," the horizon looks a bit muddled by MLB playoffs. According to TVLine, the first six episodes will air without interruption, but the show will then take a break during Fox's post-season baseball coverage. Not to worry though, executive producer Stephen Nathan promises that the first six will be spectacular.

"We wanted to make sure that we leave that first six with a very big episode," Nathan said. "I can tell you definitely that Pelant figures in very, very, very, very heavily within the first six episodes, but where he appears and/or vanishes, I can't really say at this point."

In addition, the arrival of a third party will stir up some drama between Hodgins and Angela. "Hodgins is going to have to deal with a new family member," says executive producer Stephen Nathan. "And that will impact both Hodgins and Angela and their relationship."

Although fans are curious as to who in Hodgins' family would cause so much turmoil, Nathan was reluctant to share any further details. "I don't want to say," he says. "The way it comes out is such a surprise. It's somebody that he wouldn't know."

"Bones" will return to FOX on Monday, September 16 at 8 p.m.
