Mexican TV host Ana María Canseco will be joining Telemundo's morning show "Un Nuevo Día" on Sept. 9, Latin Times reported. She will fill Omar Germenos' gap after the presenter was fired in early August.

"I am so happy to be back on television in my new home, Telemundo, and to be part of the mornings of our audience that has followed me for so long and has shown me lots of love," the 45-year-old said in a statement. "I love to be part of this great team and share the screen with my new colleagues to being Latinos happiness, good entertainment and fun."

With Canseco added to the show, "Un Nuevo Día" will now have five female hosts, including Alessandra Villegas, Rashel Díaz, Adamari López and Azucena Cierco.

Canseco is no stranger to hosting talk shows. She appeared on "Despierta América" for 13 years, until it was announced she would no longer co-host the Univision morning talk show, which is reportedly the No. 1 rated Spanish language program. Canseco used to present the segment "Echate pa'ca," ("Come Over Here"). She currently hosts a daily afternoon radio program on W Radio.

Latin Times reported Canseco struggled to get back to television until she was invited to co-host "Un Nuevo Día" for a couple of days.

On Aug. 8, Telemundo announced that show regular Germenos had been let go. "Telemundo confirms that Omar Germenos is no longer with 'Un Nuevo Dia.' We appreciate his work, dedication and professionalism as co-host of the network's morning show. We wish him all the best in his future plans," a network's spokesperson said to Latin Times.

According to the Times, Telemundo didn't explain its reasons for firing Germenos. Regardless of why he lost his job, it was apparently a surprise for the TV presenter. He told Latin Times he saw himself living in Miami for at least another five years.

"I feel fine and comfortable in Miami for at least the next, at least, five years. Normally, in this industry, the whole family travels when they give you work. We don't want to do that as we have the mindset to stay in one place for many years. So, we were testing Miami for the past three years and we've decided we would like to stay for at least five more years," said Germenos.

"Un Nuevo Día" airs weekdays on Telemundo at 7 a.m. EST.
