The Windows Phone 8 Amber Update is now available for a Nokia Lumia device via Verizon Wireless.
The Nokia Lumia 822 is officially set to receive the Amber Update on Aug. 20, a day after it was labeled as "coming soon" on Nokia's official website.

The Lumia 822 update is only available though carrier Verizon Wireless.
If Lumia 822 owners have not received the Over-the-Air notification, one should select "Settings," then "Phone Update," and "Tell me when updates are available for my phone."
The update for the Lumia 822 is labeled with version 3045.0000.1328.1031.
As Latinos Post reported, the Lumia Amber Update improves the smartphone's camera, particularly the auto focus, noise filter, and low-light photo-taking capabilities, to name a few.
According to Nokia, the update will affect the Lumia 520, Lumia 521, Lumia 620, Lumia 810, Lumia 820, Lumia 822, Lumia 920 and Lumia 928.
The Amber Update is already available for the Lumia 521 and Lumia 810 with carrier T-Mobile, while the Lumia 928 update is ready via Verizon Wireless.
Meanwhile, the updates for the Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 820, and Lumia 920 with AT&T are currently "waiting for approval."
The update is also expected to come to the Lumia 720, Lumia 925, and Lumia 1020, but a release date is unknown.
The Lumia 822 features a screen size of 4.3 inches with an 800x480 pixel resolution and 217 pixels per inch, 16GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels, front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, NFC, 1,800 mAH battery capacity. The phone is available in black, gray, white and red color options.
To coincide with the Windows Phone Amber Update rollout, Nokia released a video about the software's advantages.
