It is finally time for the PlayStation 4 to get a release date, as Sony is preparing to reveal the time the next-gen console will be revealed. But what other news will Sony give to fans at the event? What games will be announced? What existing titles will get screentime during the show? The only way to find out is to follow the livestream seen here as well in the embed video. Of course, we will also live blog the conference as it happens with continuous updates about the press conference.

12:52- We are less than 10 minutes away from the official beginning of the press conference.

1:02- Still no video, but Sony is giving fans random audio samples to speculate over in the meantime.

1:10- Conference is now starting with a man sitting in an armchair (very Bond-Like) booting up the PS4.

1:12- The various menu options for the PS4 are shown, content is arranged more horizontally with friends and trophies about games and apps.

1:15- Developers are heard in voice over discussing video games and development for the PS4, few visuals on screen.

1:17- Jim Ryan out first, going over the user inferface demo seen earlier. Ryan gladhands the European market before diving into PS3. Gran Turismo 6 is the first game shown. 

1:19- It is announced that several car companies have designed several concept cars for Gran Turismo 6, including some based on real-life concept car designs. 

1:21-The video shows several high-end concept cars for GT 6, and the enviroments that users will be able to use. Release date set for December 6, 2013, and a motion picture based on the series is announced.

1:24- LittleBigPlanet Hub is announced, a free to play version of the game coming to PS3.

1:27-Grand Theft Auto 5 is discussed for a brief minute, as Sony will have a PS3/GTA bundle. Then the Vita is discussed, with Ryan discussing the upcoming LEGO Marvel and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. Borderlands 2 is coming to Vita as well.

1:30- Vita gets price dropped to $199 in the U.S. and Europe starting Wednesday, then it is announced that seven new IP's are coming to Vita.

1:31- The First new IP is shown, the brilliant looking Murasaki Baby. Looks like a hand-drawn cartoon with touch controls. Big Fest is a simulation game where players must design the perfect concert festival.

1:36- Several interviews with indie developers are shown discussing Sony and the Vita, including the creator of Thomas Was Alone and Stealth Inc.

1:40- PS4 Lead Architect Mark Cerny is out next. He discusses the development process for the console, and how developers had a big hand in how the PS4 was designed internally. Cerny also talks about how Sony has been trying to be as indie-friendly as possible, through loaning out dev kits and funding studios. 

1:44-Several Indie games will be making their console debut on the Vita and PS4, including Rouge Legacy, Volume and N++

1:47- Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will debut on the PS4/Vita next year.

1:50- It is announced that Sony Santa Monica, Media Molecule, and Naughty Dog are making PS4 games. Could they be Gran Turismo 7, God of War 4, and Uncharted 4?

1:52- New IP's Everyone's Going to the Rapture and Rime as then previewed with cinematic trailers

1:57- Classic game Shadow of the Beast will be "reimagined" on the PS4. Looks very violent and brutal

2:00- The Playroom is announced as comign preinstalled on the PS4, which combines motion controls and the PlayStaion Eye

2:02- New Infamous: Second Son trailer is shown. Mix of cinematic and gameplay footage. Killzone Shadow Fall then reveals mutliplayer footage. Game looks to have a variety of game modes and intense firefights. 

2:06- Twitch will be available without a PlayStation Plus account. Music Unlimited is getting an overhaul as well. This will make it easier to play music over a game's soundtrack.

2:09- PlayStation Plus is detailed, and new PS4 owners will get service for free in a 14 day trial. Exclusive European deals are mentioned for the service.

2:11- Assassin's Creed 4 is up next, showing a live demo of the game on the PlayStation 4 and then streaming on to the Vita via remote play.

2:13- The live demo shows the player attacking a fort via ship combat, then players have to deal with an attacking ship. View switches frequently between the playable character and the ship's front.  The switch to Vita occurs and then the player raids the fort they had bombed. 

2:18- A Portion of the PS4 only level of Assassin's Creed 4 is teased briefly, followed by Watch Dogs, which is announced to be getting a movie sometime in the future. 

2:24- In a suprise move, Minecraft will be a PS4 Launch Title, as will new IP War Thunder, a massive battle vehicle MMO. 

2:26- Andrew House is out to close out the PS4 event, who announces that the 12GB PS3 will be available for $199. PS4 digital versions of games such as Battlefield 4 will get significant reduced prices if users buy the PS3 version of the game. 

2:30-House calls out Microsoft for flip-flopping their message to the cheers to the crowd, and reveals the PS4 will be available Nov. 15, 2013 in North America to end the show.
