HTC One Mini Release Date in US: AT&T Release Date, Price, and Specs

For those of you who want the HTC One experience, but with a slightly smaller screen (and price), here's some good news: if you are an AT&T customer, AT&T will stock the HTC One Mini as an exclusive starting this Friday, Aug. 23.

The company got its hands on the mini version of the HTC One before any other carriers, offering the handset for $99.99 with a two-year contract in stores and online starting on Aug. 23.

If you haven't been paying attention, the two big Android device makers, Samsung and HTC, have both created mini versions of their flagship smartphones, and while the HTC One mini - at 4.3-inches - isn't that much smaller than the 4.7-inch HTC One, it comes with a much smaller price for some compromises on specs.

The HTC One Mini has a high definition 720p Super LCD 2 display, which is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.4GHz. Getting the HTC One mini doesn't mean that you'll be compromising on photography, as it has the same 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera, which the Taiwanese company claims captures 300 percent more light than its competitors 13-megapixel sensors, making it a more versatile shooter in real-world conditions.

Along with the HTC One mini, you'll also get the HTC UI, Sense 5, and all of those software goodies that critics have raved about for the HTC One. That includes BlinkFeed - the live-updating scrolling content aggregator, which brings personalized news and sources more than 10,000 feeds. Also on the HTC One mini is the HTC Zoe camera software, with features such as the automatically put-together video highlights with 12 themes or styles. Finally, the HTC One mini will have those BoomSound speakers in the front, providing a Beats Audio stereo experience right from the device. Of course, the HTC One mini is designed to run on AT&T's 4G LTE network.
