Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have set the record straight about allegations he is not the biological father of their 3-year-old son Mason.

A male model named Michael Girgenti recently filed a lawsuit against Kardashian, 34, claiming they had unprotected sex after they met on a photo-shoot in August 2008, and that he actually fathered her son. The model went on to file paperwork at the Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting joint custody of Mason and asking the judge to order DNA tests for Kourtney, Scott, Mason and himself.

However, E! News reports that results obtained from Disick's recent paternity test at an independent lab prove that he is the father.

Kourtney also released a statement, saying: "After three-and-a-half years of rumors and lies being spread by an individual I met briefly at a photo shoot, I am setting the record straight that Scott is Mason's father. While it saddens me to have to address these ridiculous lies-especially when the truth was never in doubt-this story must be put to rest."

Yet still, Girgenti isn't satisfied and has dismissed the DNA test, telling TMZ that he believes the results could have been forged. Girgenti is now refusing to back off his paternity lawsuit and is continuing to push for a court-monitored testing.

According to Radar Online, the 26-year-old model previously wanted to settle the matter out of court and sent Kardashian a letter on April 23, months before he filed for paternity requesting a DNA test. He even told Kourtney that he would be a great dad to Mason.

"I assure you I don't take being a father lightly. I will be a great father to Mason," Girgenti wrote, concluding with a plea and a threat: "Please take this final request for a DNA test seriously. Because if you don't, I will be forced to take legal action and sue."

A court hearing has been set for next month.
