Mexico 1, Switzerland 0

The Mexicans looked lethargic in the opening half of their tilt with the Swiss. The Swiss created a plethora of scoring opportunities during the first 45 minutes while Mexico took about 43 minutes to get their first shot on net.

However, Switzerland's world came crashing down in the 69th minute when Dos Santos advanced into the Swiss area drawing the entire defense to him. He found Oribe Peralta who fired the ball through Swiss keeper Diego Benalgio and secured Mexico's spot in the next round. Dos Santos had started the first two matches on the bench and had erupted for two goals in the match against Gabon. He started in this match but failed to provide much in the early portions of the game.

Mexico moves on with seven points and as the leader of the group. They will face off against Senegal on Saturday in the quarter finals.

Korea Republic 0, Gabon 0

Korea needed only one point to qualify while Gabon needed a big win to secure passage to the quarterfinals. Korea got their point in a tight 0-0 draw that saw the desperate Gabon squad give their all. Korea failed to score for the second time in the tournament, but will now get to test Great Britain in the knockout round on Saturday.
