Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the latest actor rumored to play Batman in the new film "Batman vs. Superman"

According to Think Mcfly Think.com, the actor sat down with director Zack Snyder to speak about the role of Bruce Wayne's alter ego. The 47-year-old has become the oldest candidate for the role but he still fits the profile Warner Bros. is searching for in terms of actors for Batman. The Hollywood Reporter recently reported that the studio was currently looking for an actor in his late 30s or 40s who can portray an established rugged figure.

Morgan has already worked with Snyder on the director's 2009 film "Watchmen" and critics hailed him for his turn as The Comedian. The actor is also quite familiar with action films; he's also starred in "Red Dawn," "The Losers," and "The Courier." Morgan is currently starring in "Magic City" with Olga Kuryalenko.

Despite Morgan's promising potential as the next Batman, he'd likely have to solve some scheduling conflicts before committing to the role; he's already involved in five projects for the next year and Batman will most likely take around six months to shoot. Morgan is slated to star in "The Adventure of Beatle," "Solace," and "The Salvation." He is also attached to "The Rut," "Supreme Ruler," and "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" with Chloe Grace Mortez.

Morgan is the second actor in the "Watchmen" cast to be mentioned for the role of Batman. British actor Matthew Goode has also been rumored for the role.

"Batman vs. Superman" is set to star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane. David Goyer will write the script with Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder producing. Warner Bros. will release the movie in 2015.
