Pigs can fly. Daft Punk are performing live. Devastation struck when they failed to live up to rumors of a secret performance at this year's Coachella Festival, but now the robots are making up for lost time with a special Colbchella appearance. Okay, so hell may not have frozen over, but at least it's a taste. In the wake of their monster success album, Random Access Memories, Daft Punk has remained tight lipped about a followup tour. In fact, they've stated that it may take several years to piece it all together. But now it looks like fans are getting a little tasty treat to tie them over.

Last week, Stephen Colbert paid Jimmy Fallon a visit. During monday night's episode of "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Colbert popped up and ran on stage to dance to Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and then bustled off without saying a single word. At first glance it looked like a fun gimmick, but there's more to the story.

Colbert was dropping a subtle clue about Daft Punk's appearance on "The Colbert Report" tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 6. "Stephen is doing some kind of bit where he dances to 'Get Lucky' with various guest in preparation for their appearance," according to Colbert News Hub. The episode will be part of his summer series, dubbed "Colbchella."

It's unclear whether the band will interviewed or performing, but a spokesperson for Comedy Central told MTV News said "'The Colbert Report's concert series 'Colbchella' will feature Daft Punk on Tuesday," the primary clue being "concert series. Regardless, it promises to be a spectacle.

Fans pray that the performance will spark the band's interest in planning a followup tour, but they know better than to get their hopes too high. Perhaps the show could serve as a platform to announce their tour. Who knows? As of now, all rumors are speculation. We'll just have to wait and see.

Check out a video clip from Colbert's cameo on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" below and be sure to tune in to " The Colbert Report" tomorrow night, August 6, on Comedy Central.
