The quintessence of all things bizarre, Lady Gaga, will finally reenter the music world to reveal her long-awaited album, "ARTPOP". Gaga took to Facebook to officially announce her follow-up to 2011's multi-platinum "Born This Way" to her eager fans.

Gaga's anticipated reemergence comes after a two-year hiatus from the limelight to record her new album. According to Forbes, she has been mostly secluded from the public eye as of late due to a hip injury that forced her to cancel the final leg of her tour.

Billboard reports that the Mother Monster herself held a question and answer session about the album via Twitter on July 31. Gaga revealed that the album will debut on Nov. 11. "ARTPOP's" first single, "Applause," will be released on Aug. 19 along with an accompanying music video. The video was filmed in Los Angeles by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the team behind the artwork for the "Applause" single.

Gaga gave an interview to Women's Wear Daily in which she described the new single as "very fun" and "full of happiness, because what I'm saying in the song essentially is that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me. Give me that thing that I love. Put your hands up, make them touch."

Gaga further revealed that an "ARTPOP" app will be released in conjunction with the album, à la Björk's "Biophilia" app from 2011. The app will be free and available worldwide for GooglePlay and Android, and will also be available on the iTunes App Store. Gaga tweeted, "You can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded. Or you can purchase the album at the music store+download the free separately at the app store."

On her Facebook page, it described the app in fittingly abstruse, Gaga-esque language, "Altering the human experience with social media, we bring ARTCulture into POP in a reverse Warholian expedition. Built by TechHAUS, the technological branch of HAUS OF GAGA, the app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion, and technology with a new worldwide community - 'the auras.'"

Gaga thankfully described the app in less esoteric terms as "an interactive jewel case" where fans can access "chats, films for every song, extra music, content, gaga-inspired games, fashion updates, magazines." Fans can also download an "app placeholder" when the single "Applause" is released on the 19th.

Apps to accompany albums have become a bit of a trend. In addition to Björk, Jay-Z recently released an app to supplement his album "Magna Carta Holy Grail."

Gaga will debut her new single to millions of adoring little monsters at the MTV Video Music Awards, which will take place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Aug. 25.
