After being spotted hanging out with Robert Pattinson, Katy Perry made it clear to Kristen Stewart that she was not putting the moves on her ex-boyfriend.
Perry, who is featured on the cover of the September 2013 issue of Elle UK, told the magazine that she didn't want Stewart to get the wrong idea about her relationship with Pattinson, with whom she was romantically linked with while she was on a break from dating John Mayer. The two were seen spending time together at concerts and even crashed a wedding. However, the "Firework" songtress asserted that she told Stewart directly that their relationship was strictly platonic.
"I sent her [Stewart] a text message saying: 'I know you've seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person. I'm just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of tits,"' she told Elle, reports the Huffington Post.
Pattinson and Stewart went through a rough patch after the actress was discovered cheating on her "Twilight" beau with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders last summer. The two eventually reconciled, before breaking up again in May.
However, Perry has had little time to look for love as she has been dealing with her own post-divorce relationship drama. The "Part of Me" singer has had an on-again, off-again romance with Mayer since her divorce from Russell Brand was finalized in February 2012. The musicians recently called it quits in March 2013, but reconciled in June, reports Us Weekly.
"He pulled away. That was a big hello for me," Perry explains of the earlier breakup. "I realized I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have. You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another."
"In relationships, it was hard for me to speak up and set boundaries," she shares. "I think a lot of that was to do with the fear of loss."
