"Batman vs. Superman" is slated to shoot in Toronto, Canada.

According to the website VanCityBuzz, Syncopy and Legendary pictures have decided to move the film's production from Vancouver to Toronto. Apparently, Ontarian Tax credits are more favorable to the crew.

The new film will be directed by Zack Snyder who helmed the superman reboot "Man of Steel." Snyder announced the film at the Comic-Con exposition where he said, "Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest superheroes in the world."

Warner Bros. later issued a statement announcing David Goyer would write the film with Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder producing. The company also added that "The Dark Knight Rises" director Christopher Nolan would serve as executive producer with his wife Emma Thomas.

"Man of Steel" cast members Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne are scheduled to reprise their roles from the film. Warner Bros. has yet to announce who will play Batman in the new film, but the news should emerge in the coming months.

"Man of Steel" was recently released to mixed reviews, but scored over $283 million at the domestic box office and $621 million worldwide. The film also starred Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, and Kevin Costner.

The last Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises," was released in 2012. The movie went on to make $448 million domestically and made $1.084 billion worldwide. The film starred Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

"Batman vs. Superman" is scheduled for a 2015 release.
