It has been an exciting week in the WWE.

Monday's "Raw" saw Daniel Bryan face three men in one night; Tuesday brought a rare taping of next week's episode of "Raw"; and Wednesday had the WWE tape this Friday's "Smackdown." Now we bring you the top news and rumors circulating about the WWE.

Booker T, the recently displaced GM of "Smackdown," was honored in his hometown of Houston before "Smackdown" taped, according the Lords of Pain. The event took place at Booker T's wrestling school, and was attended by the man himself, his wife and former WWE diva Sharmell, announcer Michael Cole, Houston city officials, and many of the veteran grappler's fans. Officials declared it Booker T day, the wrestler gave a speech discussing his life and thanking his fans, and those in attendance chanted his name once the events concluded.

In other news, the WWE is looking for somebody to become a African-American babyface to attract that demographic. This person would fit a role similar to that of Rey Mysterio filled for years for the Latino community. Some choices on the current roster include the injured high flyer Kofi Kingston and powerhouse Mark Henry. Speaking of Henry, the wrestler was originally scheduled on "Raw" to get help from none other than Big Show instead of the Usos when he was attacked by The Shield. However, the world's largest athlete could not get medically cleared to appear on the show, and thus the Usos were called in to replace Big Show. The plan, however, still calls for Mark Henry and Big Show to face all three members of The Shield at "Summerslam" in a handicap match.

News of backstage tensions surrounding The Shield also emerged this week. Shield member Roman Reigns is rumored to have gotten into a shouting match with Randy Orton, and Bleacher Report is claiming that this has caused the whole group to suffer, as seen in their recent lack of success in television matches. Interestingly, Triple H is in the rookie's corner, but Vince McMahon decided to punish the trio over his son-in-law's objections.

One of the WWE Divas also made the news, apologizing for a wardrobe malfunction that happened during "Raw." Sports World News is reporting that Brie Bella accidently exposed her left breast during a segment, and did not realize what had happened for the majority of she and her sister's camera time. She later sent an apology via Twitter for the mixup.

Finally, WWE's World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio, has suffered a painful injury. Wrestling Inc claims that Del Rio broke a rib in his match with Sheamus from Monday's "Raw." This painful injury will not stop the wrestler, though. He is reportedly going to keep working through the injury. If true, the news of Del Rio's refusal to quit wrestling is a testament to his toughness; broken ribs cause simple tasks such as breathing to become painful.
