Everybody's wondering who will and who won't get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean after Google released the new mobile operating system Wednesday. Most current flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, and Sony Xperia Z are slated to receive the firmware, but things might not look so good for owners of the older HTC One X.

LlabTooFeR, a well-known HTC modder who has provided reliable information on HTC softwares in the past, took to Twitter to answer a question about the HTC One XL's chances of having an Android 4.3 upgrade.

"Right now only One will get update to 4.3, can't say anything about other devices..." LlabTooFeR responded.

It's not an official HTC statement, but given LlabTooFeR's reliable track record, there's a good chance that HTC is scrambling to get its Android update roadmap together. Both Samsung and HTC have come under fire from frustrated consumers as rival Sony has already issued a statement detailing its plans regarding future Android 4.2.2 and Android 4.3 updates. HTC, on the other hand, has kept mum.

HTC does have an Android 4.2.2 update for the One X in the works, but there's no information regarding when that will roll out. The newer, shinier HTC One is currently in the process of receiving Android 4.2.2 around the world, and an earlier remark by LlabTooFeR stated that HTC won't be updating the two phones simultaneously. All that really means is that One X owners have to wait for Android 4.2.2, and with no set date for an Android 4.3 One update, you can bet a One X Android 4.3 update will take even longer. Basically, don't hold your breath One X owners, there's little chance that HTC will be pushing out Android 4.3 for the device anytime soon; OEMS tend to keep their newer devices one step ahead of older ones in order to lure buyers to the more expensive product.
