"The Fantastic Four" reboot will shoot in Louisiana.

According to The Wrap, Fox has decided not to shoot in Canada or in New York City. The news source reported that the film was originally slated to shoot in Vancouver, but Fox decided to change the location due to Louisiana's tax incentives. The Wrap reported: "Louisiana offers a 30 percent transferrable tax credit for in-state expenditures related to a film's production -- and an additional 5 percent labor incentive for hiring the state's residents."

The chosen location will mark the first film based on a Marvel comic to be shot in Louisiana. Previously "X-Men" and the upcoming "X-Men Days of Future Past" filmed in Canada.

The "Fantastic Four" reboot is currently in pre-production with casting announcements slated to appear in the coming weeks. Many rumors have appeared recently with sources stating that Michael B. Jordan ("Fruitvale Station," "Chronicle") would play the Human Torch. However, the rumors have yet to be confirmed.

The only information that is set in stone is that director John Trank ("Chronicle") will direct the film with Gregory Goodman and Matthew Vaughn producing.

In 2005, the "Fantastic Four" was released and grossed $154 million domestically. However, it received negative reviews. The second installment, 2007's "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," received better reviews, but bombed at the box office making $131 million domestically. With the failure of the second installment, both critically and commercially, Fox scrapped all scripts and ideas for a third installment.

Fox will release the "Fantastic Four" reboot on March 6, 2015. The film is slated to begin production in September.
