Barcelona and Bayern Munich will face off in matchup rich with storylines.

Pep Guardiola, the former coach of the Spanish side, is now the coach of the German champions and will get a chance to test out his new tactics against the team that made him a legend. Moreover, Guardiola will face Barcelona for the first time since attacking the team on several fronts.

"I will never forget that they used Tito's illness to cause me damage, because it's a lie that I never saw him in New York," he said.

To add insult to injury, Guardiola purchased Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona, leaving the team without its future midfield star.

The matchup, while a friendly, also represents the first time these two teams meet up since Bayern Munich embarrassed Barcelona on the biggest stage possible. Bayern Munich took down Barcelona 7-0 over two legs in the Champions League semifinals; the result left many wondering if the German side had dethroned Spanish soccer.

Meanwhile Barcelona has dealt with a number of issues of its own. Former coach Tito Vilanova left the side after suffering a relapse in his battle with cancer. The team recently signed Gerardo 'Tata' Martino to a two-year contract to sign him.

Another major story in the Barcelona camp is the future of Cesc Fabregas. Manchester United has made three bids for the midfielder despite the Catalonian side's insistence that he is headed nowhere.

Prediction:  Bayern wins the match 4-2.
