Alexander Bradley, the man who claims Aaron Hernandez shot him on February 13 after an altercation in Florida, testified on Tuesday before the grand jury that will decide whether or not to indict the former football superstar for the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.

Bradley had been ordered to testify before the panel after he had tried to avoid being called before the grand jury citing medical treatment stemming from his February injury. A judge issued a subpenoa, which made Bradley appear in court to testify.

No details have emerged about the grand jury proceedings as they are not open to the public, but the panel most likely wanted to know details about the February altercation with Hernandez, which caused Bradley to lose an eye. He is seeking monetary compensation from the former New England Patriots player because of his injury.

Bradley did not address the media before his appearance in court and only gave a quick statement to USA Today. "I'm doing fine, it's been tough, but I'm ok. I've got to get in there. I'm already late," Bradley said.

Bradley claims Hernandez shot him in the eye after an argument they both had outside of Tootise's, a Miami strip club. The motives for the altercation still remain unclear. At first, Bradley claimed that Hernandez had shot him purposely, but his attorney, David Jaroslawicz told USA Today that the matter is still unclear. "We don't know whether it was accidental or deliberate," the attorney said.

According to the complaint, Bradley lost his right eye and has had to undergo a large number of surgeries to reconstruct the area around his eye. The complaint also indicated that he will require more procedures to regain full health and that the medical costs are mounting.

Hernandez has not yet answered the complaint and Bradley's attorney said it is crucial for them to obtain his testimony so they can know whether or not the shooting was an accident.

Bradley was found abandonded in an industrial zone in Riviera Beach, Florida, according to police. He was bleeding profusely from his wound and required immediate medical attention. Both Bradley and his attorney claim that the man was left there because he was believed to be dead.

Bradley claims to have known Hernandez for a good number of years and that he had even worked for him at some point.
