Customers looking for a new Android phone that isn't massive have a new contender to take note of: the HTC One Mini. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer finally announced the phone, which will begin hitting select markets in August.

The HTC One Mini will launch globally in September, and while no pricing or carrier details have been released, we finally have some official specs on hand.

The HTC One Mini, like the Galaxy S4 Mini, is meant to capture the essence of the respective larger flagship counterparts in a smaller, cheaper package - translatation: The One Mini will still keep the aluminum-driven sturdy feel of the HTC One, although the sides will be lined with polycarbonate instead of metal to help keep costs down. The display isn't 1080p like the One's 4.7-incher. Instead, the One Mini has 4.3-inch 720 screen.

Underneath the hood, the HTC One Mini will sport a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400, 1GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. The One Mini will support LTE but not NFC. Camera-wise, the One Mini has an "Ultrapixel" rear-facing camera and a 1.6-megapixel front shooter. Like the One, the One Mini also features Beats audio integration for its stereo speakers.

All in all, the One Mini seems to deliver on exactly what it wants to deliver on. Early hands-on previews all praise the build quality and phone's functionalities, which is similar to the HTC One since it comes with Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5 right out of the box. The deciding factor here will be pricing, and for many U.S. consumers, which carriers offer the phone. Stay tuned to Latinos Post for more information on the HTC One Mini as it becomes available.
