Chris Brown could be facing four years in jail after a Los Angeles judge revoked the singer's probation from his 2009 assault case against ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney has filed legal documents requesting the revocation of Brown's five-year probationary status he received during his assault case, following his recent dust up with authorities after a reported hit-and-run incident in California.

In the papers obtained by the entertainment news website, the D.A. claims the troubled R&B singer "willfully and unlawfully" broke the law in the hit-and-run, with charges saying he purposely declined to show his driver's license and provide accurate insurance details after hitting a Mercedes Benz in May.

Despite the D.A.'s claims, Mercedes Benz owner Olga Gure-Kovalenko, who Brown allegedly hit, doesn't want to press charges against the singer, according to a statement released by the Brown's lawyer to Mail Online on MondayTMZ also reported that the victim was expected to attend the hearing to support Brown. No word on whether Gure-Kovalenko appeared in court on Monday.

However, according to Mail Online, even if the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office chooses not to pursue the charges, because the victim does not want to prosecute Brown, the county district will still push for the revocation because, as they say, the singer has broken his probationary terms.

The judge handling the case was required to revoke the probation status on Monday due to the hit-and-run charge. However, Brown remained free under his own recognizance. He is ordered to return to court on August to respond to the D.A.'s allegations. If the judge decides to revoke his probation after the August hearing, Brown will be facing four years in prison.
