The royal due date has arrived, but there are still no signs of the little prince or princess and his/her royal parents at St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing.
As a matter of fact, the Buckingham Palace has not confirmed the July 13 due date, nor did it make any other comment on the royal baby's birth date, except for its announcement about six months ago.
"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," the palace announced to the media.
Currently, no one from the media knows for certain where Duchess Kate Middleton is right now, despite her being days or even minutes away from giving birth to the third to the throne. The New York Times notes that Kate could be at her marital home in Kensington Palace or at her parent's home in the country.
As for soon-to-be father Prince William, reports say he is still in Anglesey, Wales serving as a Royal Air Force search and rescue helicopter pilot. However, according to the Mail Online, a privately charted helicopter will be on standby to fly the 31-year-old to his wife's side anytime the royal baby arrives.
While neither the royal couple nor any palace official has been seen in the hospital in London, photographers, news media and journalists are all camped in front of Lindo Wing waiting for any sign of the baby's arrival.
It may take a few days, or as much as another 20 days, from the originally reported July 13 due date for the baby to arrive, but many in the media are still waiting through heat and even rain to finally capture the first image of the royal family together.
"We've been looking at that baby bump for the past seven months and so you've got to be here to make sure you get the shot," Charlie D'Agata, CBS News correspondent, explained to Sky News.
