Hugh Jackman has expressed interest in bringing Wolverine to "The Avengers 2."

The Australian actor told Collider that he really wanted to bring the "X-Men" superhero to the world of the "Avengers" and believes that the studio could easily work out a deal to include him in the movie. "I'm in for it, I'm totally up for it because I think that would be really exciting for fans," said Jackman.

According to Worst Previews the actor already spoke to someone at Marvel who served as a liaison and tired to push his character into the film. "I said, 'Can this happen?' and he goes 'Look, it's not gonna be easy.' But I'm optimistic, I find it impossible that there's not a way to bring Iron Man, all the 'Avengers' characters, Wolverine, the 'X-Men' characters, Spider-Man, and somehow get them together," he stated.

Jackman is currently busy promoting his new film "The Wolverine" in which he reprises his character from "X-Men." According to 20th Century Fox, the James Mangold directed movie is "based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality."

"The Avengers 2" is slated for release in 2015 and will include "X-Men" characters Quick Silver and Scarlett Witch. It will also include Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Widow and Nick Fury. Joss Whedon will write and direct the sequel for Disney.
