After a long, painful hiatus, "Arrested Development" finally returned to appease its diehard fans. The hype leading up to its fourth season was like nothing ever seen before. Not only did it take an innovative approach and debut the entire season at once on Netflix's Watch Instantly Channel, but the buzz and excited was fervent. If one didn't know any better, they would say that it was the most popular comedy sitcom with a cult like family of obsessive fans. Now the wait is over. So what's left to do? Hope and pray for more "Arrested Development."

And it looks like fans may get just that. According to The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer said talks are underway with Netflix to do a fifth season.

"We are in conversations with them to do another," the co-chairman of Imagine Entertainment told Bloomberg on Thursday. "They are interested in doing that."

A representative for 20th Century Fox Television declined to comment on the rumors of a future "Arrested Development" season, however, they did stress that there are currently no deals in place with either the cast or producers."

It was hard enough to wrangle the cast and crew to make season 4 now that the show's stars have taken their careers to new heights since the series' debut in 2003. The star studded cast includes names like Michael Cera, Jason Bateman, David Cross, Will Arnett and Portia de Rossi. A fifth season would prove just as challenging and would likely take at least a couple years to put together.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has said that he wants more of the series from creator Mitchell Hurwitz. "We would love to do more, and we have a deal in place that says that there could be," told The Hollywood Reporter back in May. "They're very in-demand movie and TV stars, and they're all working full-time and doing this show in between. They did it for the love of the show and for Mitch Hurwitz. If we can muster up that love again, we'd love to do it again."

Although the wheels may be spinning, nothing is set and stone. Nothing is even close. All fans can do is hope and pray.
