Is Vin Diesel set to star in the upcoming "Avengers" movie? A recent Facebook post by the "Fast & Furious" star seemed to indicate just that.

"Marvel meeting today...Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!" wrote Diesel in a recent Facebook post.

According to Geeks of Doom, "Analysis of the photo has led many to conclude that Diesel may be in talks to play the Vision in The Avengers 2. The poster he is standing in front of it is of the cover to The Avengers #2, and of course the fact that he used the word 'vision' in his post...well...you never know. It is just wishful thinking for now."

Vision's first appearance in the Marvel Universe came in October 1968. The character was an android created by the evil robot Ultron to destroy the Avengers, Dr. Henry Pym and his wife, Janet Van Dyne. However, the android was eventually convinced to turn against Ultron and join the Avengers.

If Diesel is slated to play the role, then it is possible that Ultron and Dr. Pym (a.k.a. The Ant-Man) also make an appearance in the film. If Ultron does appear, then he would likely be the central villain of the film.

Director Joss Whedon recently stated that Thanos, the villain showcased during the end credits of the first "Avengers" film, was likely to take up more than one film.

"Well, Thanos is more powerful. He is so powerful he is not someone you can just try out and punch him. Like he did in the comics, you want him to threading through the universe and to save the big finale for 'the big finally,'" said Whedon. "He is definitely a part of what I have got going on," said Whedon. "The thing about the Avengers is that they are very powerful but not very stable. So, there will definitely be some people that will shake them up in the next installment."

"The Avengers 2" is slated to start shooting early in 2014.
