Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to once again combine Final Fantasy and Disney characters and have them fight off the evil Heartless in a new adventure. In the time between Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3, Disney has acquired many companies and franchises that are immediately familiar with the general public, including Pixar, Marvel Comics, and "Star Wars." When asked by Finaland if "Star Wars" or Marvel will be included in the game, the creator of the series Tetsuya Nomura revealed that the game has some surprises in it, but did not confirm either franchise for the game.

"Of course it would be great if we could add those licenses as well," said Nomura. "But there are lots of rules and restrictions by Disney so we can't actually put everything people want, so it's a quite difficult decision but we're gonna prepare some surprises for you so, just wait for the informations ..."

"We've been talking about Star Wars itself since it became Disney's content recently. When I heard the news I was like 'Wow ! Wow !' Yeah obviously it's gonna be great if we could add it, but like I said there are a lot of restrictions and rules by Disney so we don't know what's gonna happen but yeah, we'll see."

This echoes previous statements made by others concerning what new franchises will be in Kingdom Hearts 3. While it will be interesting to see if Marvel of "Star Wars" gets put into the game, considering the titles are multi-billion dollar franchises, Disney will most likely keep them separate from Kingdom Hearts. Another factor to consider: these franchises have their own games in the works made by other developers besides Square Enix. So, that could prevent Chewbacca or The Hulk from showing up in Kingdom Hearts 3.

In any case, be sure to look out here for the latest Kingdom Heart news and rumors.
