George Clooney and girlfriend Stacy Keibler have already called it quits. The two have been dating for two years now, but according to reports the decision was caused by their differences in priorities.
"Stacy called it quits. She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that," a source close to the couple told People, who also reported the news first. "They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago."
However, another source tells Yahoo! OMG that the breakup was caused by the couple's tight schedules.
"It happened recently, but things didn't end on bad terms. Work and busy schedules kept them apart," the source explained.
Another source also told OMG that having a family had nothing to do with the split.
"That's not what happened ... Kids, a family, George's stance? That had nothing to do with it."
Yahoo! continued to note that Stacy has clarified that she isn't thinking of marriage and kids right now, noting that she lives "in the moment."
"That is not on my radar at all," Keibler told E! News in October of last year. "I'm definitely the girl who doesn't talk about that kind of stuff. I'm not really interested in thinking about marriage or kids at all."
Sources have maintained though, that the two continue to remain friends even after the breakup.
"They talk every day. They were friends before they started dating and they'll be friends after. It was a friendly [breakup]," a source tells People.
Clooney and Keibler met in 2006 at an Oscars party. Keibler tells People in 2011 that George came up to him and told her she should win Dancing With the Stars - the show Keibler had joined that year. Five years later, rumors started to swirl that the two were dating.
So far, both Clooney's camp and Keibler's rep have declined to comment on the issue.
