Final Fantasy VII is one of the most beloved games of all time, and now it has finally made its way to Steam. The PC version of this PlayStation game comes updated with a host of new features, and a pretty tempting price tag.

The Steam release will feature the character booster feature from the previous PC version, 36 Steam Achievements, cloud save support, and will be priced at $11.99.

The game has also been "updated to support the latest hardware and Windows Operating Systems." A Mac release has not been announced as of yet.

As you might expect from a 17 year old game, the system requirements are pretty low. You will need 3GB of free hardware space though, and as the game will only feature "partial controller support," so you will need to use the mouse at least once while booting up the game.

It's important to note though that this is not the HD remake that has been rumored for some time. It is essentially a re-release of the version from last year that was sold through the Square Enix store, which is itself basically a re-release of the 1998 PC version.

Still, the added Steam support and the ease of installing it without messing with any compatibility settings might be worth it if you're looking to replay this classic. You can see a trailer for the new PC version below.
