Motorola's upcoming Moto X smartphone is certainly creating a buzz around the technosphere, and the company is looking to up the ante with its new ad campaign for the smartphone.

Built around the concept of "Assembled in USA" (the Moto X will be the first smartphone to be fully assembled in the United States at a facitilty in Texas) the new campaign asks interested parties to sign up at this webpage. What's more interesting, however, is the slogan "Designed by You."

"The first smartphone designed, engineered and assembled in the USA is coming," reads the ad campaign's website. "It's also the first smartphone that you can design yourself. Because today you should have the freedom to design the things in your life to be as unique as you are."

Previous rumors indicated that Motorola was aiming for a customizable smartphone, one that each user could tailor for him or herself. While most handset manufacturers offer buyers a choice between a set amount of colors and types of features, it could be that Motorola will go even further. Suppose one person is more interested in onboard memory space than a faster processor? While tweaking specs might be a little far-fetched and cost-inefficient, speculation has it that customizable features include the color and case material. Essentially, just the outside.

Rumored specs point to a 720p display, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone's biggest draw, however, should be its cognizant sensors. Apparently, the Moto X will be able to be aware of its surroundings and will adjust its functionality accordingly, depending on whether it's in your pocket, car, or even in an airplane.

What do you think of the Moto X? Will you be picking one up when it releases this fall?
