Borderlands 2's latest DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, has been a huge hit with both fans of the series, critics who have reviewed the game, and sci-fi nerds in general. The DLC represents a potential grand finale for the game's story, though developer Gearbox has hinted that more season pass content for the game could become available later. However, in the meantime, IGN has reported that the developer has released a new skins pack for the game, giving players nine new options for customizing their characters.

The new DLC skins focus mostly on the newest character introduced in the game, Krieg. Four of the outfits available as part of the DLC are for the psycho-class character. The rest of the outfits are spread out among the other characters, with each character getting a brand-new outfit. Each of these individual skins will cost 99 cents, and all the skins are available separately (one important note is that European gamers will have to wait until July 10 to get the skins).

Gearbox has an important decision to make in regards to their flagship franchise: Do they continue to release DLC packs for the game, either as part of the season pass or separate downloads? Fans of the game would surely appreciate any sort of add on for the game, such as a higher level cap increase. And the last story DLC ended with a sequel hook, which could be turned into another DLC pack instead of a teaser for the third game in the series.

In any case, Borderlands 2's DLC has helped make the game a lasting success, and though the four promised season pass DLC packs have been released, Gearbox seems intent on continuing to bring new content to the game. However, fans will have to eventually start looking forward to Borderlands 3, and not further DLC for the second game in the series.
