Injustice: Gods Among Us has proven to be too popular for just one set of DLC characters. The fighting game starring a horde of DC Comic heroes and villains already released four characters (Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, and Zod) as DLC, but that did not leave fans satisfied. However, Ed Boon, the creative director for NetherRealm Studios, the developer who made the game, confirmed on Twitter that more characters will be appearing in the game. No further details were revealed, and parent company Warner Bros has given no indication that more characters will be in the game.

Originally, NetherRealm offered users of the game a season pass for DLC for the game, in which they could get all four original DLC characters for a discounted price. Many assumed that these four DLC characters would be the only new characters released for the game. This appears to be not the case, and NetherRealm may have been motivated by the lackluster fan response to the characters offered by the developer. It was previously hinted that more character would be coming to the game as DLC, but this is a much more concrete answer from NetherRealm.

If more characters are indeed coming to the game, then what superhero or villain will the company choose to be part of the game? The runaway fan favorite is Martian Manhunter, who was popular enough to be left off a fan poll run by Ed Boon, because it was assumed that the character would will the poll hands down.  Other popular choices to be included in the game include Red Hood and Static Shock.

Injustice: Gods Among Us has proven to be incredibly popular with fighting game fans and those wishing to partake in free for all brawls with a roster of classic DC Comics characters. The game is available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U, and mobile devices.
