Verizon wireless customers looking for more gigabytes are in luck: the 32GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 goes on sale today, June 29. While it won't be immediately available, the variant with more storage can be purchased online with a ship date of July 3.

Verizon's 32GB Galaxy S4 will run buyers $299.99, and that's after signing onto a two-year contract. AT&T has been selling the 32GB Galaxy S4 for some time now, at the lower price of $249.99, but that's not the issue. Those who want to stay on the nation's largest 4G LTE network finally have an option with more storage.

The 32GB option should prove popular on Big Red's wireless network as it's been revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 simply doesn't have much space. Even after a software update designed to remedy the situation, the 16GB Galaxy S4 comes with only 9GB of free space. The low storage space is the result of Samsung's new TouchWiz user interface. The new Galaxy S4 version sports a number of air and gesture controls Samsung had hoped would win over consumers. While the gimmicks fell short in most critics' eyes, the software remains, haunting storage-hungry Samsung fans.

The "ship by" date on Verizon's online pages usually corresponds with the day that the device can be expected in stores, meaning that Verizon customers who don't want to order online should be able to walk into a brick-and-mortar on July 3 and snag one.

The 32GB Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon's network is the same as the 16GB model, but with more storage.
