Two of Ubisoft's newest IP's, The Division and The Crew, were met with enthusiastic cheers when they were announced and shown off during E3. These games represent what the next-gen technology found in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is capable of. However, it looks as though both games could be getting a release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well, with The Division possibly getting a PC port as well.

The Examiner is reporting that a source that originally leaked the existence of The Crew has stated that both The Crew and The Division will be getting ports to current generation platforms, despite Ubisoft only announcing the games for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition, the source is claiming that The Division will also be coming to the PC as well (The Crew has already been confirmed for the PC). An Ubisoft representative told Gamespot that "we're listening to fans and haven't ruled out other platforms", which leaves the question still unanswered by the company.

The Crew and The Division are both massive in scope, and involve players being able to drop into their friend's games and join up on the fly. The Crew will have players who are playing across both the real continental United States and the virtual one in the game come together to complete certain missions. The Division is an open-world shooter with RPG elements set in a post-apocalyptic America. Both games also have tablet connectivity as well. These vast open worlds will require a lot of computing power to bring to life, so a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 version of either of these games could be lackluster compare to the next-gen offerings of the games.

Neither The Crew or The Division have release dates set, so look out for more news about the games as we get closer to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launches.
