Sony's PS4 and Microsoft's Xbox One go head to head in the fight for the best console, and Forbes has five reasons why the PS4 is probably a better contender than the Xbox One.

"Gamers Have Long Memories"

Microsoft came under a bit of a negative light when its digital rights management had reportedly been mishandled. Because of this, Sony immediately grabbed the opportunity by showing off its PS4 cred. Recently, Microsoft has removed a requirement for gamers to be online. But since gamers have long memories, Microsoft isn't about to be forgiven that easily. Forbes writes that a comment on the writer's blog sums up gamer sentiment on the Xbox: "The action they (Microsoft) took amount to the little boy putting the cookie back in the jar after being caught."

"Price"

At $399, the PS4 is cheaper than the Xbox One by at least $100. Consumers may want to use that extra $100 to buy a game for the PS4 instead.

"Kinect"

The Xbox one comes with Kinect, which is both a good and bad thing. Not all users are fans of the Kinect, while others have cited some privacy concerns with the console. The Xbox Kinect, for example, has a camera that is always on, and gamers are concerned that the Kinect could monitor users at their homes.

"Diffused Focus of Xbox One"

PS4 is meant to be a gaming device, according to Forbes. The Xbox's multitude of features could become its own demise. Forbes writes that Microsoft is positioning the Xbox One "as the media center in the living room."

"Microsoft has made it easy for Sony to make a compelling pitch to those interested only in gaming," Forbes adds.

"Heavy Dependence On Cloud"

Xbox One seems to be very dependent on cloud technology, which, for gamers, might not be a good selling point, as cloud leads to lag and lag leading to heavier tempers, as far as gamers are concerned. It is possible, Forbes writes, for Microsoft to get over the lag issue. But there is yet to be a solution for those who do not want to be connected to the internet at all while on their consoles.
