The Last of Us features a short, spunky brown-haired girl as one of the main protagonists for the game. Beyond: Two Souls also features a short, spunky brown-hair girl as one of the main protagonists of the game. Whereas Beyond: Two Souls features Canadian Actress and Oscar Nominee Ellen Page in that role, the actress played no part in the development of 'The Last of Us.' Some players have noticed the similarities between Page and The Last of Us' Ellie, leading some to question if The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog based their character on Page, even after redesigning her to look like her voice actress. Now Page has given her own two cents on the issue after being asked about the brewing controversy in a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread. One poster asked the following questions:

"This has almost certainly been made clear to you several times, but are you aware how much you look like Ellie from 'The Last of Us,' a video game which came out about a week ago. She even sounds like you. So much so that almost everyone assumed it was you playing the role. Which leads me to my questions: How did you like playing the role of a video game character when doing 'Beyond: Two Souls?' Do you prefer live action? Have you seen any footage of 'The Last of Us' and would you have taken the role as Ellie if approached?"

Page responded with the following:

"I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."

It will be interesting to see where this story goes, and if Naughty Dog will have a response to the words of Miss Page and the fans who have caught the similarities between her and The Last of Us' Ellie.
