On June 24, the new telenovela "Dama y Obrero" will premiere on Telemundo.

The series, starring Ana Layevska, Fabian Rios, and Jose Luis Resendez, tells the story of Pedro, an under-privileged man who falls in love with Ignacia, a rich and successful woman. Their love will flourish but will be challenged by their class differences and by  Ignacia's fiancé Tomas.

The new telenovela is a remake of the highly successful Chilean series of the same name which aired in 2012 on TVN. The new version was shot in Los Angeles, Malibu, and Santa Monica and was developed under Telemundo studios in Miami with Aurelio Valcarel Carrol serving as Executive producer.   

Ukranian actress, Layevska recently starred in "Relaciones Peligorsas" with Gabriel Coronel, Sandra Echeverria, and Gonzalo Garcia Vivanco. She has also appeared in "Mi Corazon Insiste," "Mujeres Asesinas," "Verano de Amor," and "La Madrastra" with Victoria Ruffo, Cesar Evora and Jacqueline Andere.

Mexican star Resendez last appeared in the popular series "Corzan Valiente" with Adriana Fonseca, Ximena Duque and Rios. He has also appeared in "Flor Salvaje," "Camaleones," "Mujeres Asesinas," and "Destilando Amor."

Colombian actor Rios had his break out in 2008 for his role in "Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso." Since then he has starred in "El Fantasma de Elena," "Dona Bella," and "Los Herederos del Monte." He also appeared in "Padre e Hijos," "Zona Rosa" and "Corazon Valiente."

The novela also stars Feilcia Mercado (Teresa, El Rostro de la Veganza), Sofia Stamatiades (Rosa Diamante), Leonardo Daniel (Pbre Diabla), Tina Romero (Amor Bravio), Christina Dieckman (Miss Venezuela), Shalim Ortiz (Sangre de Familia), and Ricardo Dalmacci (Decisiones). Dama y Obrero is set to air at 8pm replacing "Passion Prohibida."
